Waiting for the Doctor...

 Three days ago I went to the doctor and had an echo-cardiogram, a blood test, and a general check up. Now I am waiting for the doctor to call me and give me the results of the blood test and the echo-cardiogram. I called two hours ago and was told the doctor would call me back..and I am still waiting.

My worry is the PSA--an indicator of prostate cancer--which had been normal for some years, but the last blood test showed a small upward tick--so I am worried what that indicator will show.

He has just called--no blood test results, but the echo cardiogram is the same as the last time--it is at the lower range of what is normal, but it IS normal. And there has been no deterioration. But dammit, now I have to wait through the weekend for the blood result, with the continual worry about the PSA.
